The service sector has helped push Britain’s GDP growth rate in the last quarter of 2009, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics.
The service sector has helped push Britain’s GDP growth rate in the last quarter of 2009, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics.
The figures show that Britain’s revised GDP of 0.3% was fuelled by revised service sector growth of 0.5%, up from 0.1% in the preliminary estimate.
The upward revision is attributed to growth across motor vehicle services, wholesaling,
transport services manufacturing and utilities output and business services, such as computer, legal, accountancy services.
