Robert Walters profits down

Robert Walters reported operating profits of £10.56m for the six months ended 30 June 2008, down from £11.52m for the same period in 2007. Revenue increased to £169.83 million, from £150.8m in 2007.

Commenting on the results Robert Walters, chief executive, said: "The international diversity and multi-disciplined nature of the group has enabled us to deliver a solid performance. The results also reflect the investment made in the business, which was weighted towards the first half of the year. Our businesses in Europe and Asia Pacific continue to grow and perform strongly, while in the UK we have implemented management and structural changes to improve future performance."
