In a trading update, multi-sector recruiter the ReThink Group says it expected pre-tax profits after exceptional items to be ahead of that of last year.

ReThink Group says that it expects profit before tax to be around £300,000, ahead of consensus market expectations. It adds that it has experienced a positive recovery in the second half of the year, which it attributes to the strong performance of its permanent recruitment division and its recruitment process outsourcing division, ReThink Professional Services.

The statement adds: “The current year has started well with the number of contractors on assignment ahead of management expectations and continued positive demand for permanent recruitment services. Accordingly, although it is early in the year, the board is optimistic about revenue growth for the remainder of the year.”

Elsewhere, the firm has appointed Stefan Ciecierski as regional director of the London operations of ReThink Recruitment Solutions. For full details on this appointment, see Recruiter (3 February).
