The number of firms in Russia currently recruiting has decreased slightly to 72%, according to the latest quarterly survey from Antal Russia.
The research also shows, however, the number of the employers that are reducing staff has dropped to 38%.
Compared to the rest of the world, seven in 10 firms in the Americas are recruiting, while 38% of firms in Western Europe are continuing to hire at the mid-to-senior level. In Kazakhstan, 71% of companies are adding managerial staff to their operations.
Michael Germershausen, Antal Russia managing director, says: “There are still no reasons for making negative forecasts. The market is stabilising and companies continue to open new vacancies. Even in those sectors that were hit harder during the crisis have bucked the trend.
“For example, growth activity in the construction sector can already be seen. Construction companies are hiring professionals for project manager and sales manager positions.
“A slight downturn in growth rates reveal that employers are still being cautious. Moreover, many companies have already staffed up.”
