ASA upholds e-CVs.net advert complaint

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has upheld a complaint made against online CV service e-CVs.net.

e-CVs.net was found guilty of charging for downloading a CV because its Google sponsored link offered a Free Instant CV Builder online, while the advert also did not make it clear that creating a CV using the website would mean the  CV was available for recruiters to view.

e-CVs.net did not respond to the complaint and were consequently reminded its responsibility to respond promptly to ASA enquiries.

The ASA ruled that the advert must not appear again in its current form.
