Recruiters should brief candidates properly before sending them along for interview, according to Taryn Grossman, senior recruiter at Siemens’ Energy Sector.

Grossman told Recruiter that agencies should resist empty promises or poach out a company’s business, adding that recruiters need to ensure candidates are fully briefed on the role and screened properly before coming for interview.

“?Agencies add value in the niche skill areas when called upon to do so. A good recruitment agency understands our business, works with our internal recruitment team, and follows the appropriate rules of engagement that we expect out of our preferred suppliers. Our own renewables recruitment team is comprised of many former agency recruiters, who look for a high standard of care and service.”
