The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has appointed Gill Knight, chief executive of 1st Choice Recruitment, as new chair of directors for its East region.

Knight said: “So much work is done by the REC for the recruitment industry - much of it behind the scenes - in key areas such as political lobbying, training, standards and general membership,”

“As I am so passionate about what we do in recruitment, it is great to be able to contribute to what is happening within the industry and be given a chance to be an ambassador for the REC.“
