Randstad lodges appeal against fine imposed by AFM

Recruitment giant Randstad has lodged an appeal against the decision of the Authority Financial Markets (AFM), to fine the firm €96,000 (£82,000) in its capacity as legal successor of Dutch rival Vedior.

The fine relates to an AFM investigation into Vedior and its share price movements on 30 November 2007, before the public the announcement of preliminary discussions between Randstad and Vedior.     

Vedior was acquired by Randstad in July 2008.
