The RACS (Recruitment & Contractor Services) Group is offering agencies and consultants recruiting for temporary or contractor workers a review of compliance and a free online Best Advice Matrix (BAM).
Following the ‘Temporary workers: the application of tax, national insurance and national minimum wage’ legislation issued by HM Revenue & Customs in August, RACS is offering a review of compliance for agencies and independent advice to contractors.
With the pre-Budget report due on 9 December, RACS suggests three steps to take to avoid debt transfer:
1. Due diligence on current providers, through questionnaires
2. Independent advice given to contractors, through BAM
3. Documenting that contractors have made their own choice, either through a payroll options disclaimer or advice letter from BAM
