Public sector: Comensura wins Bournemouth Borough Council contract

Comensura has won a contract from Bournemouth Borough Council to manage the recruitment of all the council’s temporary staff.

Comensura has won a contract from Bournemouth Borough Council to manage the recruitment of all the council’s temporary staff.

Brett Holtom, strategic procurement manager at Bournemouth Borough Council, says: “We have been conservative due to the councils pre-existing arrangements  and are looking to save around 4%, which will still generate a saving of roughly £212,000 a year.”

In 2006-2007 Bournemouth Borough Council spent  £5.3m on temporary staff.

Holtom adds: “Beyond that, Comensura provides us with one point of contact, and the online ordering and timesheet system will significantly reduce the administration time that our managers previously had to invest in recruiting temporary agency staff themselves. It will also assist the council to pay suppliers invoices promptly .”

Mike Trevor, chief executive of Comensura, says:  “It’s fantastic to be working with Bournemouth Borough Council. We have a proven track record for delivering outstanding results and significant cost savings for public sector organisations.

“We are looking forward to helping its temporary agency staff recruitment processes become more cost effective and efficient.”
