A recruiter who has spent the last few years bringing Polish workers to the UK has taken advantage of the UK downturn by supplying British workers to Poland.

A recruiter who has spent the last few years bringing Polish workers to the UK has taken advantage of the UK downturn by supplying British workers to Poland.

Marc Vanling, managing director of Nottinghambased engineering recruiter Europe Solutions, told Recruiter that he been contacted by a subcontractor for Cadbury to find four pipefitters with UK experience.

“We found them quite easily. We had a big response to the advert,” said Vanling, adding “it’s a bit of a role reversal”.

Vanling said the company opened an office in Poland in January and had already placed UK workers into contracts there. “I think that the Polish economy will do better than the UK as it is less exposed to the financial markets,” he added.
