Executive, graduate and interim recruiter FreshMinds Talent has promoted James Callander to the position of managing director, from head of innovation and deputy managing director.

On his appointment, Callander told Recruiter: “We are at a new stage of our growth and I am looking forward to investigating what new markets and services we can build in the coming months and years. “We have been subjected to 14 months of miserable economic and financial news each morning, and I think that we need to bring some perspective to things. It is the businesses that are able to navigate these shocks, manage their costs but also position themselves for the recovery who will do well over the medium term.” The previous managing director, Alistair Leathwood, moves to head up the research arm of the FreshMinds business. Justin Gryphion, who was unit manager on the BBC’s Doctor Who, joins LegalPeople with the task of sourcing and supplying senior level solicitors and partners.
