Part-time students appear to be relying on colleagues or friends and family for careers advice, according to the Higher Education Careers Services Unit’s (HECSU) ‘Futuretrack: Part-time Students’ study.
The study shows that only a third of students have had any contact with their university careers service. More than half (57%) of part time students are accessing some kind of careers help but 30% seek advice from someone at work, 27% family and friends.
