Nokia keeps agencies smart and keen

When Nokia UK worked to deepen its relationships with agencies, interagency relationships improved and deepened as well, according to Greg Allen, Nokia’s head of recruitment EMEA.

When Nokia UK worked to deepen its relationships with agencies, interagency relationships improved and deepened as well, according to Greg Allen, Nokia’s head of recruitment EMEA.

The mobile solutions provider created recruitment boards and a resource council with agencies on its preferred supplier list to give them greater understanding of the company. In turn, the agencies found they had a forum in which they could safely discuss challenges and issues, Allen told Recruiter.

Bringing its preferred agencies closer has also clearly benefited Nokia’s recruitment, Allen said. “Now I think we’re about 12% agency use, but we use them smart and we use them keen É Agencies are great, and if you fire them up and invest in them, they’re brilliant.”

He added, “It’s not about cost for hire, it’s about the impact of not having those people in the right place at the right time.”
