Jobs board oilandgaspeople.com is to go live to recruiters on 5 January, offering agencies the ability to post jobs and search candidates for free.

Oilandgaspeople.com will only ever charge a fee when a candidate is placed in a position or accepted for an interview, according to the company.

Managing director Kevin Forbes told Recruiter: “We launched the site to candidates in September and we now have around 10,000 signed up. We’ve been promoting the site through various social media outlets, including LinkedIn and Facebook.

“To show our commitment to the industry we recently launched www.oilandgascommunity.com to improve the networking and communication between oil and gas people worldwide.

“The site already has around 300 recruiters signed up as we believe we offer a new service.” And one of these recruiters is Marske Site Services, a specialist in the oil & gas sector.

UK business manager Lee Grimes says: “At Marske we are continually developing and looking for new solutions to enable us to offer our clients and candidates the best possible service. We believe that Oil and Gas People’s new model will offer us not only a more efficient service, but also huge cost savings over current recruitment and job sites.’’
