Contractor tax advisers Umbrella Company Tarpon has welcomed reports of the introduction of “project-specific bonds”, as part of an attempt to improve the country’s infrastructure and stimulate the weakening economy by boosting private sector investment, thereby creating jobs.

Tarpon makes the comments following a recent article in the Independent newspaper.

A spokesperson from Tarpon says: “Any news that shows there will be future job opportunities for contractors is always going to be received well.

“It remains vital that umbrella companies continue to play an important role for contractors by providing an efficient and professional service in processing contractor payrolls.”
