NES moves into profit

NES has announced post tax profits of  £699,000 for the 15 months ending 31 October 2008.

This compares with a loss of  £1.64m in the 12 months ending 31 October 2007.

Revenue increased to £252.8m, a rise of 16.4% on the previous year, with gross profit margin improving from 12.2% to 12.4%. 

The company says the entire group’s trading divisions — UK technical, global technical and IT/accredited training — operated profitably over the year.

In addition, the company says that while it “is mindful” of the current economic uncertainty, it intends to continue “to invest in areas of our business that are performing well”.
