Tower Hamlets Council’s children’s services department has appointed education recruiter Navigate to find a new director of children, schools and families services across the London borough.

Navigate says that its recruitment campaign will feature a mix of advertising and headhunting, as well as the use of a number of consultative panels at the final stage of the process to engage with a variety of key stakeholders and source their views on the candidates.

One of the panels will include a number of local young people which Navigate will work with to discuss issues and develop questions to raise with the applicants. Their feedback will inform any decision on the final appointment.
