A multi-team culture with professionals asked to play many roles in different teams is now dominating the UK workplace, according to a study from workplace psychologists OPP.

A multi-team culture with professionals asked to play many roles in different teams is now dominating the UK workplace, according to a study from workplace psychologists OPP.

The study shows that nearly half of workers are now members of four or more teams in the workplace, while 37.5% prefer to take the role of organisational lead and 24% opt to lead teams. Only 2% took responsibility to keep track of team developments.

The study also shows that 81% workers believe personality has the biggest impact on the effectiveness of these teams and only 7% of people hold the traditional view that long-established teams are the most successful.
