As the recession tightens its grip on the UK, most employees would prefer a cash bonus over a Christmas party, according to new research.

The research, from Monster, shows that 90% would prefer cash to an extra holiday or shopping vouchers, compared to only 3% who prefer a Christmas party, while 66% don’t look forward to the party at all and would rather spend time with friends and family.
