Most UK workers want to go back to university this autumn

The Monster survey shows that 85% of UK graduate workers would go back to university given the opportunity. Nearly half (45%) gave the reason for wanting to return to university as feeling they were not learning in their job, while 40% thought it would help meet career targets.
Julian Acquari, managing director, Monster UK and Ireland, said: “It is important for employers to challenge their workers to ensure greater job satisfaction and incentive to stay with that employer. One of the first things many jobseekers look for is evidence of solid training and a clear growth path. In-house and external training schemes can prove a good investment for companies, so that their workers feel up-to-date and in touch with what is going on in the business world. Often if an employee doesn’t feel challenged, this can cause demotivation and reduced productivity, as well as their potential departure.”
