Long hours for accountants

More than three in four accountants who work full time put in more than 41 hours a week, according to research from Robert Half UK and the ICAEW.

More than three in four accountants who work full time put in more than 41 hours a week, according to research from Robert Half UK and the ICAEW.

The research also shows 25% work more than 51 hours a week. More than a third (37%) of respondents in Scotland and (27% of those in London and Eastern England ACAs work more than 51 hours per week.
 
However, accountants in Asia and the Middle East reporting the longest work weeks, each with 45% and 46%, respectively, working longer than 51 hours.
