Financial recruitment: Beleaguered banks targeted by headhunters

Troubled financial institutions are being targeted by headhunters, a recruiter has claimed.

As the share price of Lehman Brothers declined by 42% amid claims that 1,425 jobs could go, Uzair Bawany, managing director at financial recruitment firm Contact Recruitment, told Recruiter: “There has been a lot of calls from headhunters targeting Lehman Brothers as one particular place where people are getting candidates from. Clients are saying to me that Lehmann Brothers and Commerzbank are the two firms where there are easy pickings.”
