Legal recruiter Laurence Simons is to open an office in São Paulo, Brazil.

The new office will work both with law firms and in-house clients in Brazil and throughout the Latin America region.

The office will be headed-up by Pedro Amaral Dinkhuysen, who has worked in the private practice sector placing partners and associates into local and international law firms, and will focus on legal, tax and compliance recruitment.

Commenting on the development, Naveen Tuli, managing director of Laurence Simons, says: “The new venture has already been given a resounding ‘thumbs-up’, both from established clients in the region and from law firms and multinationals who are planning to set up operations in Brazil. To that end, our decision to be the first specialist legal recruiter on the ground was as straightforward as it was compelling.

“As a BRIC (Brazil/Russia/India/China) economy, Brazil represents a key growth market for many of our clients and provides an excellent springboard for the Latin America region generally.”
