Kenexa, a global provider of business solutions for HR, is to expand its relationship with the US AirForce.
Kenexa is to deliver university and community outreach services for USAF’s Air Force Personnel Center Scientist and Engineer Career Field located at Randolph Air Force Base (AFB) near San Antonio, Texas.
Kenexa, which has established a recruiting programme for five Air Force bases across the US, will attract and fill critically needed science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) individuals.
The firm will create a talent pipeline with new college graduates and experienced engineers and scientists through its university and community outreach process, which includes print and email campaigns, working with professional societies, developing internship and minority outreach programs, establishing a presence at career fairs, and instituting relationships with universities.
Using the existing USAJOBS website, Kenexa will establish new services and programmes to attract candidates for Randolph AFB.
Saul Ortigoza, scientist and engineer career programme administrator, USAF, says: “Along with assisting the STEM programme goals and objective, Kenexa is assisting in the hiring of civilian scientists and engineers for the USAF as a whole. We have more than 11,000 scientists and engineers in our career field and Kenexa’s efforts allow us to compete more effectively with the private sector for these talented people.”
Andrew Jackson, global head of Kenexa’s government solutions practice, adds: “Nearly 20,000 candidates are being tracked in the system and time-to-fill has been cut in half, since USAF partnered with Kenexa. We are looking forward to helping Randolph AFB locate high-calibre candidates and use their recruiting resources to the best possible effect.”
