JobServe introduces Quick Links

Job board JobServe has introduced bar codes for jobs accessible by phone.

Job board JobServe has introduced bar codes for jobs accessible by phone.

JobServe job adverts now feature a new ‘dotted’ barcode, which candidates can scan using most modern mobile phones once a suitable (and freely available) app is installed.

Jobseekers can download a copy of the job title, along with an URL to take them to the job advert. Most phones will then allow the user to browse the job and store the link.

Les Powell, general manager product & service delivery, says: “We have now introduced a new Quick Link image into the job description pages. These Quick Links are QR barcodes that may be read with any modern mobile phone with a suitable app installed.

“By scanning the barcode candidates can quickly store the job for quick and easy recall later – far quicker than it would be to email the link. Many mobile phones will also enable navigation straight to the job from the QR code.”
