Companies cutting costs with IT outsourcing

IT recruiters are benefiting from an increase in outsourcing as companies seek to cut costs, according to IT support company Connect.

The company has experienced a 75% increase in the number of enquiries it has had for IT support, with recruitment agencies prominently featured.

“Companies in sectors most affected by the credit crunch, notably recruitment companies, are leading the way,” said Mark MacGregor, chief executive of Connect.

MacGregor believes that the main driver for this surge in interest is a desire to reduce headcount.
