Even in a month where business slows, employment in the US private sector rose by 201,000 in August, the first time since March that employment gains have exceeded 200,000.
This is according to payroll services firm ADP’s National Employment Report put together with analysts Macroeconomic Advisers, based on data from around 500,000 US business clients.

As has been the case in many previous months, including March, when the economy added 207,000 jobs, just under half (99,000 jobs) of the new work was in small businesses, those with fewer than 50 workers, while large businesses with 500 or more staff contributed the least, with 16,000 jobs.
