Home improvements and DIY retailer Lowe’s has announced plans for a new customer support centre in Albuquerque, New Mexico, creating 600 jobs.

Home improvements and DIY retailer Lowe’s has announced plans for a new customer support centre in Albuquerque, New Mexico, creating 600 jobs.

The centre should be operational early next year, and the full 600 job roles should be filled by the end of 2013, according to a statement from the company.

Don Easterling, Lowe’s vice president for contact centres, says: “Albuquerque’s location in the Mountain Time Zone offers an ideal complement to our customer support center in North Carolina.

“The support of state and local officials made this a win-win project.”

NHS Trust plans to cut jobs and agency staff

The BBC reports today [30 April 2025] that the North-West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is planning job cuts, as well as cutting its expenditure on bank and agency staff.
