Peugeot-Citroën will create around 300 new jobs at its plant in Vigo, North-West Spain as it looks to increase production from 47 vehicles per hour to 55.

This is according to the website of regional newspaper Atlántico Diario, which notes that the company employs just over 7,000 workers in the factory.

It reports that the production up-scaling is due for October.

This week the company started producing electric-powered van, the Peugeot Partner, in Vigo, which will go on sale in the first quarter of next year.
