Companies caught hiring illegal workers are to be listed online

The UK Border Agency website will publish the company name, directors, number of illegal workers and the level of the fine, the Home Secretary announced.

Simon Briault, spokesman for the Federation of Small Businesses, told the Daily Mail: “This is part of the government’s attempt to make employers’ police immigration policy and criminalise them if they make a mistake.

“Small firms do not have the human resources departments and legal advisers to help them.”
