Hospitality recruitment: Hudson finds ways of recruiting top hospitality talent

Human capital solutions firm Hudson has met with the Scottish Food and Drink Federation (SFDF) in the Scottish Parliament to discuss ways of attracting top talent to the industry.

The panel of experts included: Sylvia Halkerston, director of HR at Macphie of Glenbervie; Karen Scott, managing director of Hudson; Eileen Harper of Scottish Power; and Simon Erlanger, formerly of Glenmorangie.

Karen Scott, managing director of Hudson in Scotland, said: “There are many ways the food and drink industry can work to attract a highly-skilled and innovative workforce. Positioning of a strong employer brand; open and fair recruitment; demonstrating career ladders (to show progression); and programmes for high potentials can all support the industry’s attraction strategy.”
