Longbottom takes reigns at Horton International

David Longbottom has agreed to take over as chairman of of the UK board of Horton International.

The news follows the retirement of Alan Tipper, though Tipper will stay on the board as non-executive director.

David has worked as group director of human resources for the Dixons Group, (DSGi) a main board position since 2002. Previoulsy he has worked in other positions within Dixons, including sales director and deputy managing director of Currys. He is also a non-executive director of Flybe, where he is chairman of the Remuneration Committee, associate member of the Royal College of Science, and a chartered fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development.

Outgoing chairman Alan Tipper said: “I am delighted that David Longbottom has accepted the invitation to take over from me as chairman of the Horton International board in the UK. I have thoroughly enjoyed my five years and have seen our representation in the UK go from strength to strength. I am confident that David will guide the firm to even greater success and I look forward to continuing my involvement as a non- executive board member.”
