Finding and hiring good consultants is the No. 1 challenge for nearly 10% of recruitment business owners and directors, a recent online survey has revealed.

More than 260 business owners and directors responded to the survey by trainer Mark Whitby. “The challenge is that during the recession, a large number of recruiters left the industry,” Whitby told Recruiter. “The lack of experienced recruiters means that senior managers are having to hire more rookies.

“I was not expecting ’lack of good recruiters’ to rank so high,” he added.
