Government investigating healthcare recruiters over alleged pay hike
The government is investigating claims that three healthcare recruiters worked together to charge the NHS 15% higher than market rate for temporary staff.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the Purchasing and Supply Agency (PASA), the body that governs all private sector contracts, is examining an anonymous letter which claimed that the recruiters colluded with one another to ensure that such a high rate was viable.

All three agencies have denied the allegations.

The letter was sent to all 55 medical recruitment companies on the government’s approved recruiter list.
