New web-based recruitment service GiBrain has launched in the UK.

GiBrain, which offers instruction, information and training on recruitment and hiring practices using web videos, started operating in Australia and Asia-Pacific earlier in this year.

The business was conceived and started by Antonia Macrides, who has 17 years’ recruitment experience as a consultant and recruitment business owner in the UK, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Australia.

This month, GiBrain set up in-country teams in Africa, led by Pat Ryan, and the UK, led by Paul Burley, ex-Hays, Astbury Marsden and most recently national manager of Drake Australia.

Burley told Recruiter: “Videos known as ‘knowledge bites’ play for 2-5 minutes; with short periods of daily concentration the recruiter has the opportunity to integrate tuition as they learn – a small effort for maximum results. Knowledge bites are watched at the user’s desk combining easily into their day-to-day role. GiBrain provides opportunity for the recruiting organisation to access wholesale learning across their recruiting workforce.”
