Get girls into engineering, says Thomas

Recruiters have been urged to help encourage more girls to enter the engineering sector by Adrian Thomas, head of resourcing at Network Rail.

Thomas told Recruiter: “We would suggest that this is an opportunity for agencies to promote the industry and encourage more young people, particularly girls, to consider a career in engineering. Agencies that send lists of ‘people available right now’ don’t get much of my time.”
