A report by the Federal Statistics Office (Statistisches Bundesamt) in Germany reveals that the recent job losses among temporary employees were directly linked to their level of training, education and experience, according to a report by Staffing Industry Analysts.
In Q2 of 2009 the number of unqualified temporary labourers fell by 49% compared to Q2 2008.
As reported on recruiter.co.uk, last week overall temporary employment in Germany rose from 520,00 to 588,000 between May and September this year.
According to the report, the majority of temporary agency staff in Germany have low qualifications: 74% are young males with few or no qualifications; 24% are younger than 25 years old; a further 16% are between 26 and 30 years old. Only 4% have A levels (Abitur) and 3% are university educated.
