Specialist recruitment group Empresaria says that restructuring and change already underway in Headway, its German operation, will “impact short-term profits negatively”.
This is according to chief executive Joost Kreulen, commenting on the company’s interim results for the six months to 30 June.While revenue at the company decreased by 4% to £97.8m, gross profit was up 1% to £22.4m.
Permanent revenues actually increased by 13% year-on-year within this, but temporary revenues dropped by 5%.
Kreulen adds: “The UK performance was stable overall and we have seen some particularly strong performances within the Asian region. In Europe operating profit increased against last year, although revenue declined.”
