Eurofound starts work on European Working Conditions Survey

EU agency Eurofound is launching the fieldwork for its fifth European Working Conditions Survey.

EU agency Eurofound is launching the fieldwork for its fifth European Working Conditions Survey.

The survey involves face-to-face interviews of workers, tracking the current state of working conditions in 34 European countries.

The survey covers the 27 EU member states, and three EU candidate countries (Turkey, Croatia and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), as well as Kosovo, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Albania, highlighting quality of work and employment, and monitoring changing trends.

Initial findings of the survey will be presented at the end of 2010.  

Government plans to re-wire the state with civil servant moves

Thousands of civil servants – including senior leaders – will be based in 13 towns and cities across the UK to work with frontline workers and local leaders.
