Tomorrow (6 September) is the deadline for entries to the inaugural Yourfoodjob.com Awards. The awards, which are presented in partnership with Recruiter, come as the food and drink manufacturing industry steps up to meet modern HR challenges.

This was the view of the job board’s general manager Tony Allen, as he described to Recruiter in a previous video interview.
Entry across a number of categories for both in-house resourcing teams and recruitment agencies is via the yfjpeopleawards.com website.

YFJ investor Stephen Jones also underlined the importance of good people practice in the sector, saying that while there are many companies who already do “fantastically well”, it would be “foolhardy to say that its all perfect, and there are opportunities for us here to embrace best practice and do things better”.

The blue-chip expert judging panel for the awards will be chaired by Recruiter editor DeeDee Doke, and the awards evening itself is 6 November, with the event hosted in Manchester.
