Average level of employee absence declines

The average level of employee absence has declined, according to a new report.

The report, from the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), found that the average level of employee absence reduced to eight days per employee per year from 8.4 days on the previous year.

The average cost of absence to business increased to £666 per employee per year, from the previous year’s figure of £659 per employee per year.
