Duxfield moves over to G4S Secure Solutions

International security firm G4S Secure Solutions has appointed Julian Duxfield as its new regional HR director.

Duxfield takes responsibility for the overall strategic leadership of the HR function for G4S in the UK and Ireland, which has over 42,000 employees managed from more than 80 offices across seven different businesses.

Duxfield worked for G4S Cash Solutions as its HR director for the past three years and is a former HR director for the Department of Transport, as well as Carlsberg UK.

He takes over from the present incumbent Liz Ogden, who becomes HR director for the G4S Cash Solutions business in March.

David Taylor-Smith, G4S’s regional chief executive for the UK and Africa, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Julian into G4S Secure Solution, especially as he brings a wealth of knowledge of our UK Cash Solutions business, which can only help our two businesses to work more closely together.”

He continued: “His experience of both government and commercial operations will be invaluable when overseeing the development of our regional HR function and in supporting new business opportunities.”

“I’m looking forward to moving into my new role as HR director for the UK & Ireland region for G4S. My experience over the last three years as HR director for the G4S Cash business has given me a good understanding of the group HR functionality as a whole, providing me with good experience to draw on. I’m intending to be able to quickly build an understanding of the different businesses my remit will cover and to add value by ensuring we deliver a consistent and strong HR strategy.”
