Good customer service key to employee satisfaction

Providing good customer service is key to employee satisfaction, according to a new survey.

The Kenexa Research Institute (KRI) analysed the impact a customer service oriented at organisation has on employees. The report, based on the analysis of data from WorkTrends, KRI’s 2008 annual survey of worker opinions, found that 50% think their organisation has a strong orientation toward customer services.

The report also found that 73% are more willing to recommend a place to work if it has a strong customer focus and 74% enjoy higher overall job satisfaction. Furthermore, those employees who have favourable views of their organisation’s customer service commitment are more likely to be remain in their place of work.
