London is proving a particularly difficult area to recruit in-store talent with good customer service and communication skills, according to Domino’s Pizza’s HR director Jane Roberts.

Roberts told Recruiter: “Where we do have issues in some areas of the country such as London is getting the in-store crew, hourly paid staff, who want to work and have the customer service and communication skills.

“Feedback from our franchisees is that it is really hard to get people that want to work. Where they have tightened up the immigration side, a lot of them are applying for licenses for people that do want to come in.”
