CRB extends e-Bulk service

The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) has extended its e-Bulk service through selected partners.

The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) has extended its e-Bulk service through selected partners.

The e-Bulk service aims to cut the time taken to process criminal records by removing much of the paperwork and reliance on postal services. It is available through a small number of umbrella and registered bodies who have undergone a period of extensive testing and development with the CRB.

Adele Townsend, CRB director, says: “The CRB provides access to criminal record information through its disclosure service, enabling organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work.

“The roll out of our first electronic application system represents a significant milestone for the CRB and demonstrates our commitment to make all of our services accessible electronically and to improve service efficiency.”
