Construction recruiters expect bounceback

Construction recruiters are hiring again in anticipation of a bounceback of the sector, according to Richard Clarke, managing director at Midas Rec2Rec.

Construction recruiters are hiring again in anticipation of a bounceback of the sector, according to Richard Clarke, managing director at Midas Rec2Rec.

Clarke told Recruiter: “Recruiters are starting to beef up their teams now, as they expect the sector to pick up. A lot of construction still needs to happen in this country. Projects have been idle for two years.

“Construction firms have cut through the muscle and into the bone, so they will need to really ramp up recruitment to staff these projects. We have noticed quite a few senior directors from very recognisable construction brands have moved away from their old employers and set up their own businesses.”
