CML goes green with environmental initiative

Offshore legal, accounting and IT staffing firm CML has launched an environmental initiative aimed at promoting greener recruitment practices.

Offshore legal, accounting and IT staffing firm CML has launched an environmental initiative aimed at promoting greener recruitment practices.

The ‘Proud to be a Green Recruiter’ initiative aims to act as a launching pad for those within the HR or recruitment industry to support local and international environmental projects in tackling their carbon footprint by being more energy efficient and offsetting carbon emissions made by all new recruits.

The initiative covers the production of a CV and offsetting the carbon used by the transport taken during the recruitment process through to the candidate’s first day on the job.

Louisa Tang of CML Recruitment, who administers the scheme, says: “We want to make going green as simple as possible, by starting small. At CML we are doing our little bit and we will be encouraging our clients to look into how they can ‘green’ their recruitment process.

“Those that are interested can find out ways in which they can reduce the carbon emissions involved in the process of recruitment. All they have to do is get in touch with me and we will suggest ways they can go green.”
