C&M goes green

Travel recruiter C&M is demonstrating its green credentials to suppliers, customers and staff following its decision to sign up to the Green Achiever scheme.

Travel recruiter C&M is demonstrating its green credentials to suppliers, customers and staff following its decision to sign up to the Green Achiever scheme.

The scheme, developed by environmental consultancy E4 environment, requires business to complete a questionnaire to outline its responsibilities and receive a listing in the Green Achiever online directory.

And managing director Angus Chisholm told Recruiter a commitment to go green was necessary as his clients operated in an industry sensitive to green issues.

“When we are doing presentations and pitching business, it would certainly be something we emphasise because clients will be doing the same thing.

“We have had candidates on rare occassions comment on the CSR of their employers or potential employers. Our staff have a genuine interest in saving the environment and so it has been positively received within the business.”
