Charity vacancies rise despite downturn

Analysis by charity recruitment site CharityJOB, has revealed that their total number of charity vacancies increased by 4.4% between October 2007 and October 2008, despite the economic downturn.

A recent NCVO survey also indicated  that over 40% of charities are planning to take on more staff despite an impending recession.

Steve Wexler, co-founder of CharityJOB, said: “We are driven by a mission to help charities save millions of pounds from their recruitment budgets. Our cost effective proposition is more valuable than ever in the current economic conditions”.
